Terms of Service
Effective June 20, 2026 · Last updated June 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Jessica Tiwari, doing business as One Less Thing Labs (“we,” “us”), the operator of Julia, an AI meal-planning service for families. By creating an account or using Julia, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Julia.
Who may use Julia
To use Julia you must be at least 18 years old and a parent, guardian, or caregiver with authority over your household. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements.
When you add information about a family member you represent that you have the authority and permission to provide that information and to use Julia’s suggestions on that person’s behalf.
Your account
You’re responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date — especially dietary restrictions and allergies, which Julia relies on to keep suggestions safe. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Families and multiple caregivers
Julia organizes data around a family. A family may have more than one caregiver, and all caregivers on a family share access to that family’s information and tools.
Any caregiver on a family can manage that family’s data, including using Delete family, which permanently erases the entire family’s data and removes the accounts of all caregivers on that family. Only add a caregiver to your family if you trust them with full access to, and control over, the household’s data. We are not responsible for actions taken by a caregiver you’ve added.
The AI assistants, and meal safety
Julia’s recommendations and cooking guidance are generated by AI and are provided for general meal-planning purposes only. Julia helps you decide what to cook; it does not give medical, nutritional, or health advice.
AI can make mistakes. While Julia runs an automated check of every saved meal against the dietary restrictions you’ve recorded, this is a safety net — not a guarantee. You are responsible for your family’s safety. Always use your own judgment, read ingredient and product labels, and confirm that any meal is safe for everyone who will eat it, especially where allergies, intolerances, or medical diets are involved. Do not rely on Julia as your only safeguard against an allergen or other dietary risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Julia for anyone you don’t have authority to enter information about, or enter information you have no right to share.
- Attempt to access another family’s data, probe or bypass security or access controls, or interfere with the service.
- Reverse engineer the service, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product, except as permitted by law.
- Misuse the AI assistants — for example, to attempt to extract another user’s data or to generate unlawful content.
- Use Julia in violation of any applicable law.
You may create scoped access tokens to connect external apps. You’re responsible for the apps you connect and for keeping token secrets secure; you can revoke tokens at any time in Settings.
Your content
The information and content you enter remains yours. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and use it solely to operate and provide Julia to you — including sending the relevant context to our AI provider to generate suggestions, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Exporting and deleting your data
You can export your family’s data as a JSON file and permanently delete your family at any time from within Julia. Deletion is described more fully in our Privacy Policy. Deletion is permanent and we cannot recover a family once it is erased.
Service availability and changes
Julia is offered on an ongoing basis but may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue features, and we may suspend or terminate the service or your access to it.
Disclaimers
Julia is provided “as is” and “as available,”without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Julia will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its suggestions will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your family. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Julia. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Julia will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jessica Tiwari and One Less Thing Labs from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of Julia, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person — including claims relating to information you entered about a family member without authority to do so.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Julia after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
